Bagan Archaeological Zone is a major attraction in Myanmar. According to official information, the area is 104 square kilometers and has over 10.000 religious monuments. The temples are connected with dirt roads and you are free to visit them on your own. The best way to do it is renting a bicycle but you can also go by horse cart.

When the government decided to open the area for tourists lots of people had to move in a new village - New Bagan. The Old Bagan became a place for hotels and restaurants targeting the groups and mid/high end customers. Today not a lot of people visit New Bagan as it lacks in attractions compared to the other places. This temple is one of the few landmarks found there.
