[2012.11.19] Cuba - Las Terrazas and Viñales
Las Terrazas is a small village in western Cuba. The area was designated as Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1984. You can do some trekking if you wish and stay in quiet area.
Viñales valley is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for the karst landscape and traditional agriculture. In the Viñales village probably most of the income is from tourism.

As the trails are not marked and you cross people's land an expensive guide is a must. Ours is the one on the left speaking Spanish which is not very important as we didn't. To the right is another one that we met on the trail. Luckily, he spoke one of the best English we found in Cuba.
